Privacy policy

Georgia Car processes the data needed to find a car, calculate prices, arrange bookings, contact customers and keep the website running safely.

1. Who processes data

Data on georgia-car.com is processed by Georgia Car. For enquiries, provide your name, phone number or booking number. Do not send unnecessary documents.

2. Data we receive

You provide the car, pickup and return locations and times, name, phone number, optional email, comment and flight number. At pickup, we check passport, driving licence, additional driver details, rental agreement and condition report. The server may receive technical data: IP address, date, page address, browser type, session identifier and errors. Product analytics events exclude names, phone numbers, emails, comments, flight numbers and document details.

3. How we use data

We use data to answer enquiries, check availability, calculate prices, manage bookings and rentals, arrange pickup and return, support insurance and incidents, and prevent misuse. Data is not used for a new incompatible purpose without the necessary basis and notice.

4. Browser storage and analytics

Search details may be stored in localStorage; draft contacts, flight numbers and receipts in sessionStorage. You can clear them in your browser settings. When enabled, Yandex Metrika uses cookies and ClientID for statistics, advertising measurement, Webvisor and click maps. Analytics events exclude names, phone numbers, emails, comments, flight numbers and document details. Restricting cookies or local storage may affect form and receipt recovery.

5. Data recipients

Georgia Car staff and providers of hosting, support, communications, analytics, insurance, roadside assistance and accounting can access the data needed for the agreed purpose. WhatsApp and Telegram process data under their own rules. The customer database is not sold or shared for other companies' advertising.

6. Processing abroad

Messengers, analytics and technical providers may process data outside Georgia. Only the minimum necessary data is transferred.

7. Storage and security

Form drafts stay in the browser until the session closes or they are cleared. Booking and rental data is kept for the booking, rental, settlement and any claims. Technical logs are kept for diagnostics. Once no longer needed, data is deleted, anonymised or blocked. Access controls, secure connections, logging and backups are used.

8. Your data requests

You can request information about data sources, purposes, retention and recipients, a copy of your data, corrections, additions, deletion or blocking, portable data, withdrawal of consent, or a review of processing. Core requests are handled within 10 working days, with a justified extension of up to 10 more working days. Identity checks may be required.

9. Automated processing

The website estimates prices and checks fields and availability. These operations are not used for hidden credit scoring or advertising profiling. If details conflict or prices change, edit your request or contact the manager. A staff member can review disputed pickup arrangements.

10. Advertising messages

Phone numbers and emails from booking requests are not used for advertising without separate consent. You can withdraw that consent free of charge; advertising processing stops within the required period. Messages about a specific booking are not advertising.

11. Policy updates

This policy is updated when the service or providers change. The revision date appears at the top. Material changes apply from publication.
